The Chicago White Sox extended their team-record losing streak to 19, giving up Max Kepler's tiebreaking home run in the seventh inning that lifted the Minnesota Twins to a 6-2 win on Saturday night. “It can't go on forever,” White Sox starter Garrett Crochet said. Chicago's losing streak is the longest since Baltimore dropped 19 in a row in August 2021 and tied the seventh-longest since 1901. The White Sox were held to three hits for the second straight night and to three hits or fewer for the 12th time this season.

Max Kepler hit a tying home run in the sixth inning and a walk-off single in the 10th inning to give the Minnesota Twins a 6-5 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Friday night. Kepler singled to right off Scott Alexander, driving in Austin Martin from second for Minnesota’s third straight victory. It was the second big hit of the game for Minnesota’s right fielder, who tied it 4 in the sixth off Oakland starter Mitch Spence. The late-game hit was Kepler’s 10th career walk-off plate appearance, tied with Kent Hrbek for third-most in Minnesota history. Twins closer Jhoan Duran (2-2) pitched two scoreless innings for the victory. It was his first multi-inning appearance of the season.

The Twins have the longest winning streak in the majors this season. Minnesota’s run matches the team’s winning streak from the late 1980s, which is the second-longest in Twins history. The club record for consecutive wins in 15, from June 1991, which is the last season Minnesota won the World Series. Kepler and Willi Castro each had two hits, Carlos Correa had two RBIs and Cole Sands pitched a scoreless final inning for his second save. Max Kepler and José Miranda hit run-scoring singles to put Minnesota ahead in the seventh, and the Twins rallied late for their 10th straight win, 10-5 over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday. Miranda added his third hit for another RBI in a four-run ninth that put it away for the Twins, whose winning streak is their longest since June 2008 and the longest in baseball this season. Willi Castro added an RBI single to cap a three-hit day. Alex Kirilloff hit a solo shot, and Ryan Jeffers knocked in two runs with a double for Minnesota. Tommy Pham hit his first homer with the White Sox and added an RBI double.

Max Kepler drove in the tiebreaking run in the ninth inning for the second straight game, this time hitting a sacrifice fly, and the Minnesota Twins won their ninth in a row, 6-5 over the Chicago White Sox. Chicago’s Andrew Benintendi homered leading off the eighth to tie it at 5 after Minnesota scored twice in the top half. But the Twins pulled it out in the ninth. Byron Buxton walked and took third on Manuel Margot’s single. Kepler then put Minnesota on top with a sacrifice fly to center. Jhoan Duran pitched around a leadoff single by Tommy Pham in the bottom half and picked up the save.
