9/18/24 Giants add to slumping Orioles' rough stretch. Michael Conforto had three hits, including a homer, and the San Francisco Giants frustrated the host Baltimore Orioles again, winning 5-3 on Wednesday night. Mike Yastrzemski hit a home run for the second consecutive night and Casey Schmitt drove in two runs for the Giants. The Orioles (84-68) have lost eight of their past 10 games and are in danger of sliding out of the chase with the New York Yankees in the American League East.

9/07/24 If Michael Conforto isn't back with SF Giants, has he proven enough to cash in this winter?. As a pending free agent surrounded by younger, cheaper and some more productive players at his own position, Michael Conforto may not fit into the Giants' plans for 2025. “It's a balance,” manager Bob Melvin said.

8/31/24 Mason Black pitches well in return to big leagues, but SF Giants' late magic runs out in loss to Marlins. The Giants followed a familiar formula Saturday against the Marlins, one that pulled out a thrilling win a night earlier. Unlike in Friday night's theatric win, however, the Giants' late magic ran out a run too early. Michael Conforto's solo shot in the eighth inning was as close as they would get in a 4-3 loss to the National League's worst team. It sent them back below .500 (68-69), kept them 6½ games back of the Braves, and wasted a spot start from Mason Black that was as much as they could ask for.

7/27/24 Grandson Of Red Sox Hall Of Famer Made Available; Should Boston Pursue Outfielder?. The grandson of one of the best players in Red Sox history reportedly has been made available ahead of the July 30 trade deadline due to a recent skid by the San Francisco Giants and could be on the move. "The Giants, 2-5 since the All-Star break, have indicated to teams that they're willing to trade some of their veteran players," MLB Network's Jon Morosi reported Friday. "One possible scenario: They could move an outfielder, Michael Conforto or Mike Yastrzemski, to open up playing time for Luis Matos." Yastrzemski is having the better season of the duo and would be a decent commodity as teams seek offensive firepower.

7/26/24 MLB rumors: Mets eyeing possible Michael Conforto reunion. After a rough start to the 2024 MLB season that hit its low point when one of its relievers chastised the team in a post-game interview, the New York Mets have rebounded admirably. In fact, they are currently in pole position in the NL Wild Card standings with a 55-48 record. This now makes them a buying club prior to the MLB trade deadline. The Mets, according to reports, are looking to add a left-handed bat to give their lineup some more depth and quality production.
