Houston Astros right fielder Kyle Tucker has been named the team's nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award, Major League Baseball announced on Monday. Each team has one nominee for the annual award, which is named for the legendary Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder. The only Astros player to win the award is Baseball Hall-of-Fame member Craig Biggio, who was selected in 2007. MLB.com reports the Astros hope Tucker, who's been out since June 3 after fouling a ball off his right leg, will be available to start Friday as a designated hitter. Houston Astros fans have been waiting to see the return of star Kyle Tucker as he has missed the majority of the summer with a shin contusion, caused by hitting a foul ball off the injured area in early June. While there has not been a set time table for his return, there was finally one given by Astros general manager Dana Brown. It has been two months since Houston Astros star Kyle Tucker hit a foul ball off his right shin resulting in missing every game up until that point making stints on multiple injured lists. Fast forward to the present and there is not a clear timetable for the return of the Astros outfielder as manager Joe Espada tries to give the media and fans all the information possible to know what the player is up to.
