9/04/24 Brewers Slugger's Salary Deemed Worst On Roster, Could He Be Moved In Offseason?. The Milwaukee Brewers front office may have to reconsider rostering one of their more notable additions from last winter. First baseman Rhys Hoskins has been dubbed the Brewers' "Worst Bang-For-Your-Buck" in a recent report, which may lead to the club going in another direction in just a few months. "With a 125 OPS+ and 36 home runs per 162 games during his six seasons in Philadelphia, (Hoskins) was still one of the most accomplished power hitters on the market this past winter," Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter wrote Wednesday morning. Hoskins' performance has dipped since signing with Milwaukee and is now hitting .209 with 34 extra-base hits including 23 home runs, 70 RBIs and a .708 OPS (93 OPS+) in 111 games this season.

8/27/24 Phillies tee off to determine their fantasy football league draft order. So who picks first?. Around this time last summer, the Phillies came up with an unusual way to decide their fantasy football draft order. The idea originally came from first baseman Rhys Hoskins, who signed with the Milwaukee Brewers in January. Phillies physical therapist Alex Plum jogged to center field, dressed head-to-toe in Garrett Stubbs' catching gear. Now Millville's Buddy Kennedy gets his chance with the Phillies.

7/14/24 Watch Former Phillies Fan Favorite Remember His MLB Debut Lineup. When Rhys Hoskins returned to Philadelphia in June with the Milwaukee Brewers the City of Brotherly Love certainly showed up. Hoskins connected with Phillies fans like few others and when he strode to the plate for his first at-bat in the series opener he was greeted with a warm standing ovation from the crowd. The Phillies also played his old walk-up song, Calvin Harris' “Slide.” It was an emotional few days for Hoskins, who admitted before the first game that he would “probably” cry at some point.
