9/02/24 Minnesota Twins Slugger Ties Former American League MVP on This Historic List. The Minnesota Twins earned a much-needed 4-3 victory on Sunday afternoon against the Toronto Blue Jays. With the win, the Twins moved to 74-62 on the year. They are now tied with the Kansas City Royals for the second wild card spot in the American League. Both teams are just 3.5 games back of the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Central. The Twins had to rally late to earn the victory, getting a three-home run in the eighth inning from Royce Lewis to turn a 3-1 deficit into the 4-3 win. Lewis, one of the premier sluggers in the league, now has 16 homers this season in just 201 at-bats. He only has so few at-bats because of multiple stints on the injured list, something which has unfortunately

Royce Lewis hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the eighth inning and the Minnesota Twins rallied to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 on Sunday. Bailey Ober started and pitched six solid innings, and Jhoan Duran earned his 20th save for Minnesota, which is tied with Kansas City, 3 1/2 games behind AL Central-leading Cleveland. A few hours before Tuesday night’s game against the Atlanta Braves, Twins third baseman Royce Lewis was out taking ground balls in the infield. That, in and of itself, is a regular occurrence. 8/03/24 Royce Lewis' hilarious reaction to continually getting drug tested by MLB. The Minnesota Twins have suffered their share of injuries this season. During a postgame interview on Friday, Lewis arrived late and apologized to the assembled reporters for his delay, which he said was due to the MLB continually drug testing him. Lewis then added the excellent line, “All they're going to find in these veins is ice cream, bro,” per MLB.com's Do-Hyoung Park on X. The Twins' first-overall pick in the 2017 MLB draft has been excellent when healthy enough to play.

The Minnesota Twins get a boost in their lineup as third baseman Royce Lewis came back from a right adductor strain that put him on the 10-day injured list (IL) for three and and a half weeks. Last playing on July 2, Lewis returned in an exciting way as the Twins beat the Detroit Tigers Friday, 9-2, as he talks about trying to maintain his health throughout the season. It would not be the first time that Lewis has an injury spell like recently as in the past three years, there could be people that have put the “injury prone” tag on him. Lewis, 25, missed the Twins' last 16 games with a right adductor strain. Lewis is batting .292 with 10 home runs and 18 RBIs in 24 games this season with Minnesota. In parts of three seasons with the Twins, Lewis is batting .303 with 27 home runs and 75 RBIs in 94 games.

7/25/24 Miranda goes out swinging as Saints top Omaha. Another day, another Saint gets his wings. After the Saints said goodbye to Royce Lewis following Wednesday's game at CHS Field, fellow Twins infielder Jose Miranda completed his rehab in the Saints' 5-2 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers on Thursday and is set to join the Twins in Detroit. Miranda, hitting second in the order and playing first base, walked in his first at-bat, walked again in the second inning, poked an outside pitch down the right-field line for an RBI double in the fourth and flew out to left in the sixth. Miranda was replaced at first base by Chris Williams in the seventh and received a hug from manager Toby Gardenhire before heading to the clubhouse.

The Saints played a matinee on Wednesday at CHS Field, and two players in the spotlight managed to make it a particularly early day after taking care of business. Neither Royce Lewis nor Jose Miranda, two Twins in St. Paul on rehab assignments, were around for the finish of the Saints' 6-2 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers, but both had an  impact. More importantly, both took steps toward getting back in a Twins uniform after stints on the injured list. “I'm just happy to see those guys playing baseball again,” Saints manager Toby Gardenhire said.

7/22/24 Infielders Lewis, Miranda close to returning to Twins lineup. Out since suffering a right adductor strain on July 2nd, Twins 3B Royce Lewis is close to returning. In fact, he's expected to play for the Saints in St. Paul on Tuesday. More positive injury news: 3B/1B/DH Jose Miranda expects to be back in the next 7-10 days. A few rehab games with the Saints is in play prior to a return to the Twins' lineup.
