3/23/23 Red Sox reliever acquired in offseason trade shut down with flexor issue. Wyatt Mills, a right-handed reliever who the Red Sox acquired in a trade with the Royals during the offseason, has been shut down with a flexor issue. “He's banged up,” manager Alex Cora said Thursday. Mills, who had a good chance of making the Opening Day roster before getting injured, hadn't pitched in a Grapefruit League game since March 13 when he allowed four runs on four hits and one walk in 1 inning vs. the Blue Jays. Boston acquired Mills from Kansas City on Dec. 16 for minor league pitcher Jacob Wallace.

2/16/23 Did Red Sox trade for next John Schreiber? Team thinks sidearmer has that potential. The Red Sox are hopeful sidearmer Wyatt Mills can follow in John Schreiber's footsteps and have a breakout season in 2023, a team official said. The Red Sox acquired Mills, a 28-year-old righty, from the Royals for minor league pitcher Jacob Wallace on Dec. 16. Mills, a 2017 Mariners third round draft pick, has a similar arm angle to Schreiber who broke out in 2022 with a 2.22 ERA and 0.98 WHIP while holding opponents to a .195 batting average in 64 relif outings. “That's what I've been hearing,” Mills said here at JetBlue Park on Wednesday.

12/20/22 Meet The New Guy: Wyatt Mills. Who is he and where did he come from? He’s Wyatt Mills, sidearmer, Gonzaga alum, and guy who shares the same badass cowboy name with an LA-based artist who specializes in abstract portraiture that straddles the line between pop art and neo-expressionism: The Red Sox acquired him in a trade, sending Lawrence, MA native and UCONN alum Jacob Wallace the other way and DFA-ing Eric Hosmer to make room on the 40-man roster. What position does he play?

3/25/22 40-in-25: Wyatt Mills. Other Wyatt Mills is about four years older than Baseball Wyatt Mills and has made a successful career for himself as a painter, working in the visual legacy of Picasso, Rauschenberg, and Warhol. Think cubist collage portraits: jumbles of vibrant blocks of color, gestural lines, and body parts. In an interview with Artnet in 2018, Other Wyatt Mills spoke about the process by which these portraits take shape, saying, “I find myself taking little bits and pieces of different people or photographs ...

9/27/21 Top 50 Mariners Prospects: No. 16-30. He’ll be 19 years old in 2022 where he’ll likely repeat the Arizona Complex League with a full-season debut in Modesto likely at some point. Wyatt Mills, RHP, 26, MLB Mills won’t be 26 years old anymore when the 2022 season commences, but as for today, he qualifies for the list. Despite his seldom use at the big league level, Mills has been nothing short of un-hittable in Tacoma, posting some of the most outrageous batted-ball (or not batted, in this case) data out there.

5/05/21 Yusei Kikuchi's strong outing overshadowed by Mariners going hitless against the Orioles. Fletcher was called up before Tuesday’s game at the alternate site to provide a fresh arm for the bullpen. Before Wednesday’s game, Wyatt Mills, who was sent down when Fletcher was recalled, was brought back with Keynan Middleton being placed on the 10-day injured list with a biceps strain. He is the fourth Mariners pitcher to go on the IL in the last few weeks, joining Margevicius, Marco Gonzales and Casey Sadler.
