9/01/24 Philadelphia Phillies Turn to Young Contributors for September Call-Ups. The Philadelphia Phillies have a huge opportunity to take three out of four games against the Atlanta Braves with a win on Sunday. After their division lead shrank to an uncomfortable level compared to what it had been throughout the majority of the year, closing out this series with a victory would go a long way in potentially locking up the NL East in their favor. Before the finale against the Braves, though, the Phillies revealed who their September call-ups are going to be as the roster expands from 26 to 28 men. Kody Clemens has ridden the rollercoaster of promotions and demotions throughout the year, especially during the early part when Trea Turner was dealing with an injury issue.

5/20/24 Kody Clemens "barreling up everything," but is it enough to stick with Phillies when Trea Turner returns?. Kody Clemens wasn't good enough to make the Opening Day roster. The way Clemens is hitting, he may be on the Phillies' roster a while longer. The Phillies have a lot of faith in Clemens at the moment. The proof came Sunday when manager Rob Thomson didn't take him out when the Washington Nationals went to a left-handed reliever, hoping the Phillies would pull the white-hot Clemens to avoid the lefty-lefty matchup.

5/20/24 De George: Kody Clemens' success just one example of Phillies' bench magic. The Washington Nationals on Sunday had one left-handed card to play out of their bullpen. With Rob Thomson stacking the Phillies' lineup with six lefties, he intended to make it as hard as possible on his counterpart, Dave Martinez, to decide how to deploy that southpaw. When Robert Garcia got the call from the bullpen in the fifth, it wasn't to face Kyle Schwarber. Instead, Martinez aimed Garcia at Kody Clemens, and Clemens responded by lacing a go-ahead, two-run double to right field.

1/10/24 2023 Phillies in review: Kody Clemens. The Phillies acquired Kody Clemens along with Gregory Soto from the Tigers in a trade prior to the 2023 season. It was expected that he would compete for a bench job against the likes of Jake Cave and Dalton Guthrie. As April ended, Clemens seemed to be hitting his stride. There was a four-game stretch at the end of the month when he had at least one RBI in each game, including three home runs.
