8/07/24 Davis Daniel allows 5 runs as Angels drop first game of doubleheader against Yankees. At least Davis Daniel kept Aaron Judge and Juan Soto from doing any serious damage. Unfortunately for the Angels, Judge still scored a run after walking when the Angels pitched around him, and he drove one in with a single after Daniel was out of the game.

For the fourth straight game Thursday, an Angels' starter was cut short. Davis Daniel went 3.2 innings on Monday, Roansy Contreras lasted two frames on Tuesday and Griffin Canning tallied 4.1 on Wednesday. Called up from the Triple-A Salt Lake City Bees to make his first Major League start for the Los Angeles Angels, pitcher Davis Daniel had a restless night on Wednesday. The former Auburn pitcher worked the first eight innings of Los Angeles' 5-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers in an American League game on Thursday night at Angel Park in Anaheim, California. Davis recorded eight strikeouts and blanked the Tigers on four hits without walking a batter.

The Angels have recalled right-handed pitcher Davis Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake. To make room for him on the roster, right-handed pitcher Amir Garrett was designated for assignment.
