The Texas Rangers announced the following roster moves prior to Monday night's series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Globe Life Field: Right-handed pitcher Grant Anderson recalled from Triple-A Round Rock. Right-handed pitcher Gerson Garabito optioned to Triple-A Round Rock. Anderson, 27, has gone 0-1 with a 7.54 ERA (19 ER/22.2 IP) in 18 relief appearances spanning five separate stints with Texas this season: April 7-17, April 24, May 10-June 11, July 4-7, August 10. His last Major League action came on August 10 at New York-AL, when he worked 3.2 innings in Game One of the Rangers' doubleheader in The Bronx, for which he was appointed as Texas' 27th player. 6/12/24 Texas Rangers' Pitcher Joins Patrick Mahomes Sr. on Wrong Side of Team History. Playing in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, the World Champion Texas Rangers were pounded by the Dodgers by a score of 15-2. In the loss, the Rangers allowed five home runs, including four homers alone in the fifth inning. Unfortunately, reliever Grant Anderson surrendered each of those home runs, putting him in an interesting but undesirable spot in team history. Grant Anderson is the 2nd Rangers pitcher to give up 4 homers in an inning since 1974.

5/31/23 Grant Anderson wins in relief in MLB debut, Rangers beat Tigers 10-6. Reliever Grant Anderson won in an overpowering major league debut and the Texas Rangers beat the Detroit Tigers 10-6 on Tuesday night to improve to 35-19, the best record in franchise history at the one-third mark. Anderson stuck out seven of the nine batters he faced after taking over for starter Martín Pérez in the fifth inning. Texas second baseman Marcus Semien extended his hitting streak to a career-best 19 games with a fifth-inning single. Jonah Heim drove in four runs, Josh Jung homered and had three runs and Aroldis Garcia had four hits and three runs. Miguel Cabrera had three hits and drove in two runs for Detroit. Cabrera passed Ken Griffey Jr. for 15th place with 5,272 total bases.

5/29/23 Former McNeese Pitcher Grant Anderson called up by Texas Rangers. Earlier Monday afternoon former McNeese Baseball reliever Grant Anderson was called up to the MLB by the Texas Rangers to be a part of the team's 40-man roster. Over his 2023 campaign at the top minor league level, Anderson has pitched 21 1/3 innings over 11 appearances for the Round Rock Express, posting a 3.80 ERA in the process.
