7/18/23 Red Sox go quietly in 3-0 loss to lowly A's. Not the Red Sox, who were shut out by the Athletics in a 3-0 loss at the Oakland Coliseum, collecting just five hits while committing three errors. The Sox sent Joe Jacques to the mound as their opener. Jacques had Ryan Noda down 1 and 2 to begin the second, but left a slider middle-middle that Noda parked in the empty right field seats. The next batter, Aledmys Diáz, reached on a slow chopper to shortstop, and advanced on an errant, and ill-advised throw by Yu Chang.

6/13/23 Red Sox's Triston Casas Addresses Costly Late-Game Error Vs. Rockies. An untimely error late in Monday night's game at Fenway Park proved to doom the Red Sox. With Boston trailing Colorado 3-2 in the top half of the 10th inning, Joe Jacques induced what should have been an inning-ending groundout with the bases loaded and two outs. When all was said and done, the miscue was tough to swallow for Casas. The Red Sox will try to put forth better efforts with both their gloves and their bats Tuesday night when they host the Rockies for the middle game of their interleague series.
