9/19/24 Dodgers predicted to re-sign two-time All-Star to redemption deal. The Los Angeles Dodgers might have one of the best records in baseball, but they're limping toward the end of the season. Meanwhile, Clayton Kershaw and Tony Gonsolin seem like longshots to make it back in time. Meanwhile, Walker Buehler still has the chance to salvage a shaky season and contribute in the playoffs. Speaking on a recent episode of Dodgers Nation, USA Today's Bob Nightengale predicted that Buehler, a pending free agent, would return to the Dodgers on a single-season deal that gives him the opportunity to prove he can remain healthy and effective.

9/19/24 Dodgers Injury Update: Clayton Kershaw Takes 'A Big Step' In Rehab. Clayton Kershaw was pitching well for the Los Angeles Dodgers before landing on the 15-day injured list due to a bone spur in his left big toe. Kershaw made just seven starts prior to the toe injury after he also spent the majority of the season recovering from left shoulder surgery he underwent in the offseason. Kershaw has been throwing off a makeshift mound and trying to find ways to limit the pain in his toe. This one lasted approximately 80 pitches – more than double the length of most bullpen sessions – and was “pretty encouraging,” Roberts said.

9/18/24 'There's A Shot' Clayton Kershaw Returns To Dodgers Rotation. The Los Angeles Dodgers have their sights set on the postseason as they have reached the later stages of the regular season, but they are still awaiting word on a number of starting pitchers making their way back from injury. Among those is Clayton Kershaw, who has been out since late August with an injury to his left big toe. Kershaw returning during the regular season is unlikely, but he could be an option for the postseason. Kershaw is maintaining his readiness in case he's cleared to return and can pitch through the pain.

9/10/24 Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw's Injury 'Super Frustrating'. The Los Angeles Dodgers are again in a spot where starting pitching is at an absolute premium in the latter portion of the regular season. Kershaw's injury forced him into a spot where he couldn't properly push off the mound. Kershaw has since taken some time to let his left toe to heal, including a walking boot around the time it flared up.

8/30/24 Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw suffers injury after 27 pitches. With only 28 games left in the regular season, the Los Angeles Dodgers can ill-afford an injury to one of its most important players. On Friday night, veteran southpaw Clayton Kershaw, who has already gone through his fair share of injuries in 2024, had to exit the game in the bottom of the second inning after just 27 pitches due to a big toe injury. It's unclear just how severe this big toe injury is for Kershaw, but the Dodgers deemed it to be serious enough to the point of having to prevent him from going any further in their contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Kershaw allowed three earned runs in his one inning of work, and was promptly relieved from the game by Joe Kelly.

8/29/24 Dodgers Could Shuffle Rotation In Response to Pitcher's Injury. The Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in a four-game series beginning Friday in Phoenix, but their pitching rotation remains uncertain. Clayton Kershaw is set to start the first game, with Gavin Stone following for the second. Jack Flaherty is tentatively scheduled to pitch on Sunday, but that would mean he'd be pitching on just four days' rest — something the Dodgers have tried to avoid all season. There is a possibility that Flaherty's start could be pushed back to Monday, providing him with an extra day of rest.

8/24/24 Rays Vs. Dodgers Game Preview: Clayton Kershaw Looks To Extend Success. The Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to five games in thrilling fashion and now can clinch a series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night. Clayton Kershaw takes the mound for his sixth start of the season and coming off his most impressive outing this year. Kershaw held the St. Louis Cardinals scoreless over six innings to help the Dodgers start their current winning streak. “I think it's a message to everyone as far as you're not always going to be feeling your best, and you've still got to find a way to perform and help the ballclub win,” manager Dave Roberts said after the game.

8/19/24 Hunter Feduccia Potentially Replacing Austin Barnes On Dodgers Roster. While the Los Angeles Dodgers have recently welcomed back Clayton Kershaw and Mookie Betts, and expect to activate Tommy Edman and Max Muncy on Monday, they also have incurred new injuries along the way. Freddie Freeman suffered a jammed right middle finger during Saturday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals and wasn't available for the series finale at Busch Stadium because the swelling had worsened. Freeman is scheduled to undergo a CT scan on Monday and it's plausible he winds up on the 10-day injured list. As the Dodgers get set to begin a nine-game homestand, Freeman may be accompanied on the IL by Austin Barnes.

8/18/24 Clayton Kershaw leads Dodgers to win with six scoreless innings. How many times in his 17-year career has Clayton Kershaw done this? The Dodgers are in disarray for one reason or another – a losing streak, a string of injuries, a starting rotation in tatters around him, whatever it is – and Kershaw takes the mound, puts his foot down and makes things right. In his fifth start since returning from that surgery, he completed six innings for the first time, holding the St. Louis Cardinals scoreless on four hits as the Dodgers won 2-1. Kershaw was not overpowering.

8/15/24 Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw Made Heads-up Play From Dugout During Loss to Brewers. Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw didn't appear in Wednesday's loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field, but the three-time Cy Young Award winner still managed to make an impact on the game while sitting in the dugout. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Brewers third baseman Joey Ortiz reached first base after grounding into a fielder's choice. After Milwaukee shortstop Brice Turang doubled to left field, Ortiz slid into second base, briefly headed back toward first, then, upon tracking Turang's hit, advanced to third base. But Ortiz never retouched second base after doubling back towards first-and Kershaw was watching like a hawk from the dugout. The veteran

8/14/24 Yoshinobu Yamamoto updates: next step after latest bullpen session. The Los Angeles Dodgers rotation has welcomed back Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler in recent weeks, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto looks to soon join them as he continues to make progress with the recovery from a right rotator cuff strain. After being shut down for multiple weeks upon going on the 15-day injured list, Yamamoto began a throwing program that has advanced to multiple bullpen sessions of late. The most recent of which came Tuesday at Dodger Stadium.
