8/15/24 Angels' Ron Washington Brutally Sums Up Loss To Blue Jays. The Los Angeles Angels suffered a 9-2 defeat to the Toronto Blue Jays which completes the sweep as the struggles continue for the team trying to cover some ground in the American League West. Angeles manager Ron Washington spoke after the game and talked about the loss to the Blue Jays and which aspects it came down to in the result of the sweep. It has been an uninspiring season for Los Angeles so far as they are 4-6 in their last 10 games with the season in the middle of August. While it has been a constant problem throughout the season, Washington would say that to put it plainly, their starting pitcher in Tyler Anderson got “beat up,” while on the other hand “their starters beat up our hitters” according to The Associated Press and ESPN.

8/02/24 Tyler Anderson takes loss and Luis Rengifo gets hurt as Angels fall to Mets. Despite rumors to the contrary, both Tyler Anderson and Luis Rengifo remained with the Angels past the trade deadline on Tuesday. The Angels' 5-1 loss to the New York Mets on Friday night illustrated some of the reasons why. Rengifo came out of Friday's game after two at-bats, both strikeouts, with what the Angels called “wrist irritation.” Rengifo is a 27-year-old switch hitter who can play multiple positions, with a .300 batting average and a year of team control beyond this one.

7/18/24 Angels Starting Pitcher Should Be Trade Target For Cleveland Guardians. Time is running out for the Cleveland Guardians to add to their roster. MLB's trade deadline is just over two weeks away, and the Guardians still need one or two starting pitchers to help them finish off the regular season and for a potential playoff run. One pitcher who Cleveland's front office should target is Los Angeles Angels starter Tyler Anderson. Despite being in the twilight of his career, Anderson has a pitching run value of nine, ranking in the 83rd percentile.
