8/31/24 Guardians Predicted To Promote Versatile Infielder For September Call Ups. The Cleveland Guardians, along with the rest of MLB, are about get a little releif on the roster front with September call-ups. This is the time of the year when each major league organzation can add an additional position player and pitcher to the roster for the home stretch. Bleacher Report predicted a September call-up for every MLB playoff contender and projected the Guardians to promote Gabriel Arias to take the extra roster spot. "When rookie Brayan Rocchio won the starting shortstop job for the Cleveland Guardians this spring, it pushed Gabriel Arias into a utility role on the bench to start the year, though he still broke camp with a spot on the Opening Day roster."

8/25/24 Gabriel Arias Making 'Meaningful Strides' With Swing Adjustments, Cleveland Guardians News. Gabriel Arias was optioned to the minors on July 11 amid one of his roughest stretches as a member of the Cleveland Guardians' major league roster. "We felt that there were mechanical adjustments that [Arias] could make with his swing that would benefit him," said Antonetti ahead of Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers.

8/16/24 Should Gabriel Arias Get Another Major League Opportunity With The Cleveland Guardians. There was so much hype surrounding Gabriel Arias when he made his debut with the Cleveland Guardians in 2022. Arias was optioned back down to Triple-A on July 11, and to his credit, has been a completely different hitter since the roster move. Arias has a slash line of .351/.390/.519, including six extra-base hits in his 77 at-bats with the Columbus Clippers. This season, he had a 32.9 percent strikeout rate in the majors.

8/12/24 Should The Cleveland Guardians Bring Back Recently DFA'd Amed Rosario?. The Cleveland Guardians' shortstop situation is complicated. Neither Gabriel Arias nor Brayan Rocchio have proved they're Cleveland's future middle infielder alongside Andres Gimenez. This has forced Stephen Vogt to give Daniel Schneemann and Tyler Freeman opportunities at times.

6/24/24 Guardians' Gabriel Arias Ejected After Arguing With Home Plate Umpire. Tempers flared towards the end of the Cleveland Guardians series opener with the Baltimore Orioles which resulted in one of Cleveland's players getting ejected late in the game after arguing with home plate umpire Jermey Reiggs. Gabriel Arias was up to bat in the bottom of the eighth inning and wasn't a fan of Riggs' strike zone. Orioles pitched Keegan Akin threw a low fastball earlier in the count that just clipped the zone which Riggs called a strike, which is something the ump hadn't been consistent with all game.
