Fernando Tatís Jr. hit a two-run homer, Dylan Cease pitched six shutout innings and the San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants 5-0 on Friday night. The Padres are a half-game ahead of the Diamondbacks atop the National League wild card standings. The Giants have lost three of four. Cease struck out 10 and also recorded his 1,000th career strikeout in the third inning when he got Donovan Walton looking.
