9/18/24 Robert Saleh hints at increased rep count for Jets' key free-agent addition. The New York Jets presumably signed wide receiver Mike Williams to become the No. 2 target in the passing game behind WR1 Garrett Wilson. As expected, the Jets eased Williams along during training camp with the 29-year-old recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in September 2023. Although he was available for the season opener, as promised, Williams was used sparingly in the Monday Night Football loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

9/10/24 Jets' two key offseason WR additions complete non-factors in season opener. The New York Jets' offense didn't possess the ball for long during the season-opening setback on Monday night, but when it did, its two key offseason wide receiver additions were nowhere to be found. Wide receivers Mike Williams and Malachi Corley combined for 10 offensive snaps and zero targets in the 32-19 road loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Williams, who signed for one year and $10 million this past March, was on the field for nine plays in the opener. Corley, the No. 65 overall draft pick, logged one offensive snap in his NFL debut and did not see action on special teams.
