The San Francisco 49ers found themselves in a contentious contract negotiation during the offseason with Brandon Aiyuk. There were teams supposedly interested in him, but he eventually signed a deal with the 49ers for four years worth $120 million. Aiyuk has a total of six receptions for 71 yards through two games for the 49ers. The 49ers won in Week 1 against the New York Jets 32-19, and he had two receptions for 28 yards. Brock Purdy converted only 2-of-10 third-down opportunities (both to Kittle) but wasn't as dreadful as that may seem. Purdy spread the ball around, but no completion went longer than 28 yards.
