| 9/17/24 | Browns WR David Bell to have season-ending hip surgery. Browns wide receiver David Bell will undergo season-ending surgery after dislocating his hip in Sunday's win at Jacksonville. A third-round pick in 2022, Bell was injured while being tackled on a 6-yard completion on Cleveland's first possession in the third quarter. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski awarded Bell a game ball and said he's saddened to see his season come to such a quick ending. “Very disappointing,” Stefanski said. | 9/16/24 | Young Browns receiver to undergo season-ending surgery. Browns receiver David Bell went out in a blaze of glory, catching all three passes thrown his way during Sunday's 18-13 victory over the Jaguars to earn a game ball. Unfortunately for Bell, the last of those three catches, a 6-yarder on a third-and-10, resulted in a season-ending dislocated hip when a defender fell on him. Coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday during his video conference that Bell, the Browns' third-round pick in 2022 out of Purdue, will need season-ending surgery on the hip.
