Bryan Hoeing was acquired via a trade with the Miami Marlins that also brought Tanner Scott to San Diego. Hoeing might be the steal of the deadline. The Padres have been rolling since the schedule resumed after the All-Star break, winning 12 of 15 games. Hoeing heading west to San Diego Pictured on the mound at Liberty Park in Batesville while playing for the Bulldogs, Batesville's Bryan Hoeing has a new team in the San Diego Padres. San Diego traded with Miami for Hoeing and Tanner Scott before the MLB trade deadline. In 16 games for the Marlins this season, Hoeing has gone 1-2 with a 2.70 ERA (9 ER, 30.0 IP), 1.27 WHIP and 25 strikeouts to just nine walks. He has posted a 1.50 ERA (4 ER, 24.0 IP) as a reliever.
