(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a pair of wins in steamy Cincinnati on Friday, winning the opener 5-4 in 10 innings and erupting for 10 runs in the ninth inning of the nightcap to beat the Reds 14-0. In the opener, the Brewers picked up the win when Sal Frelick grounded into a double play that scored Eric Haase. Willy Adames and William Contreras each homered for Milwaukee in the opener. Adames hit his 25th home run while Contreras hit his 19th. Colin Rea started and lasted just 4 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Trevor McGill pitched a scoreless ninth inning to get the win for the Brewers. Devin Williams pitched the tenth inning and got his seventh save.
