8/11/24 Madison Bumgarner Reflects on San Francisco Giants World Series Title in 2014. This weekend was a special one for the San Francisco Giants and their fans. Bumgarner's heroics will forever live on in Giants lore. After throwing a complete game shutout in Game 5, a 5-0 victory for San Francisco, he closed out Game 7 by firing five more shutout innings to help secure the victory. It was an impressive feat as Bumgarner threw 117 pitches in Game 5 before coming back three days later and throwing 68 more.

8/10/24 Madison Bumgarner's Admission On Giants 2014 World Series Heroics. San Francisco Giants fans most likely have fond memories of 2014 where they won their last World Series title which is approaching the 10-year anniversary. A major part of that team was Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner who spoke with Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area about memories of that playoff run and how he was feeling during that time. As said before, tons of people from that Giants championship team will celebrate Saturday at Oracle Park for the decade anniversary which prompted Bumgarner to remember his conversations with manager Bruce Bochy. Bumgarner had the mindset that he wanted to contribute by any means necessary in the eventual final two games of the series despite throwing 117 pitches in Game 5, which ended up being a shutout.

8/09/24 Here's who is slated to appear at SF Giants' 2014 World Series reunion, including one elusive guest. There is perhaps no player more synonymous with the last of the Giants' third World Series title of their dynastic era than Madison Bumgarner, the hard-nosed horse of the pitching staff who started six games that October, tossed two complete game shutouts and came out of the bullpen to record the final three outs of Game 7. The 10-year reunion set to take place Saturday at Oracle Park would have felt empty without him. Among the notable absences are Bruce Bochy and Pablo Sandoval, who are still active in the game, and Tim Lincecum, who has kept an even lower profile in retirement than Bumgarner.

7/12/24 Giants' 'Core Four' set to be enshrined in Wall of Fame together. Nobody will ever top what Madison Bumgarner accomplished in Game 7 of the 2014 World Series, although in an odd way, what Jeremy Affeldt did that night was maybe nearly as impressive. When he took the mound in the second inning at Kauffman Stadium he saw two different Buster Poseys, one standing in front of the other. The situation was made even worse by Kansas City Royals fans waving white flags in the seats behind the plate. After getting out of the second inning, Affeldt went down to the dugout tunnel to give his eyes a break from the lights and try some additional eye drops.
