Texas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien was named the club's nominee for the 2024 Roberto Clemente Award on Monday. The award is presented annually to the player “who best represents the game of baseball through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy, and positive contributions, both on and off the field.” The Rangers have yet to have a player win the award since it was first presented in 1971.
